Dublin Bay
The Dublin Bay Squib Fleet consists of Squibs from the National Yacht Club, the Royal St. George Yacht Club, the Royal Irish Yacht Club and the Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club. Squibs from these four clubs race together under the burgee of the Dublin Bay Sailing Club on Thursday evenings (around the cans races using fixed marks) in Scotsman’s Bay to the east of the Harbour and on Saturday afternoons (two windward-leeward races using laid marks) to the west of the Harbour.
The fleet holds a sociable get-together in the Royal St George Yacht Club which is the club where most of the Squibs are based.
The Royal St George Yacht Club owns three Squibs, one of which is available to charter by Club members at a very reasonable charge. This Squib is Karma which like all the other Squibs in the Dublin Bay Fleet is dry sailed.
New members are always welcome. To find out more contact Squib Class Captain Vincent Delany on 00 353 86 857 5374
