FRIDAY.
A testing 20+ knot SouthWesterly amd lumpy seas greeted the Squib fleet in Weymouth Bay. After one false start they were underway with Two Counts edging clear of nearest rival Ric’O’Shea as the race progressed. Behind them Malcolm Hutchings and Andy Carley took third ahead of local boat Saskia III, ( Richard Frost and Adam Bowers ).
In the overall results this translates into Two Counts being the 2023 UK Squib Champions with Ric’o’Shea a clear runner-up. Maverick sits in third place in Dan Henderson’s first Squib championships. Fourth overall were the Grogans a single point ahead of MIke Budd and Mark Greaves in Harry Vi.
