Waldringfield Sailing Club

Waldringfield  SC is located on the western bank of the delightful river Deben in Suffolk and WSC has been associated with the village for just over 100 years.

The clubhouse is located below sandy cliffs next to a shingle beach with a dinghy park nearby. The Deben is strongly tidal and sailing takes place at all states of the tide. WSC organises racing for 7 classes.

Two annual 2-day open meetings are run by the club. The ‘Easter Egg’ in the spring and the ‘Cartoon Trophy’ weekend in the autumn ( the trophy is a framed original Giles cartoon, he was a Club member for many years).

The WSC Squib fleet was established in 1970 and we celebrated our 50th anniversary recently. The class manages a number of moorings exclusively allocated to Squibs. The current Squib fleet is as follows and new Squibbers are always very welcome.
