Weymouth Squibs
Weymouth Sailing Club (WSC) is located within Weymouth Harbour with easy access to the excellent sailing waters of Weymouth Bay.
There are 16 active and competitive Squibs in the fleet including a Club-owned boat, from the very new, Filch (909), to the very mature, Seahorse (41). Counting owners, co-owners and crews, about 50 WSC members form our very sociable Squib community.
During the sailing season, from late-April to Boxing Day, the fleet is afloat on well-protected and easily accessible pontoon berths with Clubhouse, crane and yard facilities adjacent. We normally race 3 times a week with our own class starts – on Monday and Thursday evenings and at weekends, tapering off in late-autumn and winter.
Weymouth Sailing Club is hosting the UK Squib National Championship this June. Months of careful planning have gone into delivering what promises to be a memorable event, afloat and ashore.
The current Class Captain is Richard Frost, his deputy is Andrew Mercer.
