This charming watercolour is the work of Maria Ward, an Isle of White resident artist whose work often features busy waterfront scenes.
These Squibs are racing past Egypt Point to finish a Cowes Week race on the Royal Yacht Squadron line. Regular Squibbers may recognise Aldebaran ( 153, Iain & Celia Jones from Weymouth), Squib ( 11, Dick & Pam Batt from Emsworth and Satu (708, Kevin & Marney Gibson from Fishbourne ) all in line astern, Further out is Peter Eddis with the red, white and yellow spinnaker.
